Madagascar Crested Ibis

More from Madagascar!  The Crested Ibis, Lophotibis cristata, occurs all over the island in both dry and moist forests.  It probes with its long bill amidst the leaf litter for various small critters.  It's iridescent long, blue-green crest has a few buff to white feathers in it.  It is still fairly common even though in some places people kill and eat it.  Watercolour.
