Eland 1

A simple painting of an Eland bull, Taurotragus oryx. I'll soon try to do one with more background. This is the largest antelope in the world (along with the Lord Derby's Eland, Taurotragus derbianus, of central Africa) and very ox-like in proportion. They are astonishingly nimble, though, and can leap over 2m/almost 7 ft high fences. There are some in our local game reserve and I love them! Watercolour.
